Angie and I have been going to the lake for years. We knew each other from high school and our paths crossed many times throughout our lives. We started dating about 11 years before we got married. I have two kids from a previous marriage that Angie helped raise as her own. We spent many days, nights, weeks on the lake over the years with our kids.

We enjoy the time we have spent with close friends on the lake and at Conley Bottom over the years. We also have spent time on several other lakes with friends, but have always thought of Cumberland as our lake. Conley Bottom Resort and the staff is a big part of the reason we love Lake Cumberland so much. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. We spend our time at the Campground which is always clean and well kept. Plus you get a slip for your boat during your stay.

When Angie and I decided to get married we didn’t even think twice about where we wanted to have the ceremony. Over the years we have been asked by family and friends about why we spend so much time at Conley Bottom. Our response was simply you can’t understand it until you experience it. We went into our wedding not expecting a huge turn out, but thought what family and friends were able to make it down would be able to understand our love for Lake Cumberland. To our surprise we had over 100 people attend our wedding. Each and everyone of them quickly realized why we love to go to Lake Cumberland and stay at Conley Bottom.

The staff at the campground was very accommodating and understanding during our entire process. We actually boated in the morning the day of the wedding! We came back to the campground and invited all campers to join us in sharing our special day, which as you will see from the pictures was beautiful. We already plan on an anniversary trip down every year with family and friends, and everyone can’t wait!
